SAT Ranker is digital SAT practice with a rating attached. Instead of working through an undifferentiated pile of questions, you get a rating that moves with your performance, questions matched to your current level, and a breakdown of which skills are actually holding your score back.
How the rating works
Every question carries a numeric difficulty rating on the same scale as your own rating. When you finish a set, your rating moves based on how you did relative to the difficulty of the questions you actually faced, using an Elo system similar to the ones used in chess.
That means a strong performance on hard questions moves you more than the same score on easy ones, and ranked sets are drawn to sit near your level: mostly at your rating, with some easier warm-ups and some genuine stretch questions.
How the questions are organized
Questions are filed under the same topic and subtopic structure the Digital SAT uses, across the eight domains: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry on the math side; Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions on the reading and writing side. You can drill any single topic or subtopic from the practice page.
Where the questions come from
Every question is original, written specifically for this product. They are modeled on the format, skills, and difficulty of the real exam, but they are not actual SAT questions and are not licensed from the College Board.
Answers are checked before publication: math questions are re-derived independently from their stems where possible, and the whole bank runs through automated checks for malformed answers, duplicated content, and explanations that do not match their answer.
Plans
The free tier includes 15 practice questions and 2 duels per day, reset daily. Premium removes those limits for $14.99 per month, and the Exam Season Pass gives 90 days of unlimited access for $39 as a one-time purchase. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page.
